Product Overview
Brake Cable Assembly is a coated control cable with an inner cable, outer housing and end terminals selected for a specific brake or mechanical control route. Unlike a simple loose wire, a brake cable assembly must match the mounting points, free cable movement, spring or adjuster components and terminal shapes used by the equipment.
Common Configurations
- Brake cable with black coated housing and exposed inner wire
- Cable with spring, threaded adjuster and nut components
- Eye terminal, barrel end, hook or clip terminal configuration
- Bicycle, vehicle, pushcart or equipment replacement cable
- Sample-based cable with matching housing color and terminal geometry
Material Options
Comparable brake cable products use galvanized steel, stainless steel or carbon steel for the inner cable. Housing materials may include PVC, PU, PE, PA or TPE. The final selection depends on bending route, movement feel, appearance and the buyer’s application environment.
Fitting Options
Brake cable RFQs often involve springs, adjusters, nuts, eye terminals, barrel ends, hooks, clips, end caps and screw fittings. The fitting arrangement should be shown in close-up photos, especially where the cable connects to a lever, bracket or moving arm.
Application Notes
Brake cable assemblies are requested for bicycle and small vehicle systems, equipment controls, mechanical replacement projects and other routed cable applications. When replacing an existing cable, measure both the total length and the free moving length instead of relying only on the product name.
RFQ Information Required
- Full length, housing length and exposed cable length
- Inner cable diameter and housing outside diameter
- End fitting A and end fitting B details
- Spring, adjuster, nut and bracket measurements
- Application, cable route, quantity and packaging requirement
- Photos, drawings or a sample when available
Specification Note
Available configurations are confirmed according to cable diameter, material, fitting type, coating and application requirements.
