Product / control cable assembly

Pull-Only Control Cable

A pull-only control cable assembly reviewed around the inner cable, outer housing, required travel, equipment return method and end interfaces.

Product overview

Define the pull movement before choosing the assembly

A pull-only control cable transfers tension from a control point to a remote mechanism. The equipment, spring, pedal or linkage provides the return action, so the RFQ should state how the cable returns and which positions define the working travel.

The cable body is reviewed as an assembly: inner cable, outer housing or casing, casing ends, mounting points and terminal geometry. A pull-only request may be a new OEM design, a replacement for a brake or throttle route, or a sample-based repair project. Final construction, dimensions, material and fitting details are to be confirmed during RFQ.

Use the Mechanical Control Systems page for broader function and application terminology. This product page is the product-specific RFQ route for a pull-only requirement.

Configuration review

What to confirm from the equipment or sample

No fixed catalog dimensions are assumed. Use the available evidence to define the quotation basis.

Movement and return

State pull direction, neutral position, working travel and the equipment-side return method.

Housing and route

Separate housing length from overall length. Show casing support, bend direction, guides and mounting points.

End interfaces

Identify terminal A, terminal B and casing-end fittings. Thread, ball, barrel, eye, hook, adjuster or custom shapes are confirmed from the reference.

Evidence and supply

Attach a drawing, sample, photos, quantity and packaging notes. Mark worn, stretched or missing sample areas before review.

FAQ

Pull-only control cable questions

What makes a control cable pull-only?

The cable is specified to transmit a pull movement, while return movement is supplied by the equipment, spring, pedal or linkage. The return method should be stated in the RFQ.

What measurements should be separated?

Record overall length, housing length, exposed inner cable and working travel from labeled reference points.

Can a pull-only cable be matched from a sample?

Yes. Full-cable photos, both end close-ups, route information, travel and application notes can support sample-based review.

Are fixed dimensions published on this page?

No. Dimensions, materials, terminal geometry and housing details are project-dependent and are to be confirmed during RFQ.
