How to Prepare a Custom Cable Assembly RFQ

Use this guide before sending a quotation request for custom wire rope assemblies, control cables, suspension kits, tool lanyards, gym cables or wire rope fittings.

RFQ Preparation

The six areas buyers should confirm

A clearer RFQ helps Gosor review the cable type, dimensions, fittings, quantity, packaging and application basis before preparing quotation communication.

Product Type

Choose the closest product family before requesting a quote.
Useful starting points include wire rope assemblies, tool lanyards, suspension kits, control cables, gym cables and wire rope fittings.
If the product name is uncertain, send a photo and describe how the cable is used.

Application

Explain where the cable assembly will be installed.
Describe whether the cable suspends, connects, retains, routes movement or replaces an existing part.
Mention indoor, outdoor, equipment, lighting, gym, control or custom hardware context where relevant.

Cable Diameter and Length

Provide cable diameter and overall assembly length if known.
For coated cable, state whether the measurement is metal cable diameter or finished outside diameter.
For control cables, provide total length and stroke or travel separately.

End Fitting Photos

Send close-up photos of end fitting A and end fitting B.
Include thread size, ball end size, loop size, hook style, sleeve position or cable gripper type when relevant.
If the fitting name is unknown, photos from multiple angles are more useful than a guessed label.

Drawings and Samples

Attach drawings, sketches, samples or product photos whenever available.
For replacement projects, show the full cable, both ends and the application route.
If the sample is worn or damaged, explain which dimensions may need confirmation.

Quantity and Packaging

Provide expected quantity by piece, set, machine model or project.
State whether packaging should be by item, set, repair batch or installation group.
Include labeling or documentation requests before quotation when they affect purchasing.
